Personal Training

Private, one-on-one coaching with a trainer you choose, built around your body, your history and your goals.

In short

Personal training at NYCPT is private, one-on-one coaching in a Flatiron studio. Every client starts with a 55-minute assessment — movement screen, InBody 570 body-composition scan and goal setting — then trains on a plan that is re-measured monthly. Sessions start at $118 in packs; new clients get two sessions for $150.

Most people don't need a harder workout. They need a smarter plan, a coach who notices how they move, and a reason to keep showing up for years. That is what one-on-one training here is built for.

Your first session is an assessment as much as a workout: what you want, what has hurt, what has worked before, and how you move today. We scan body composition on our InBody 570 and build a plan you can follow for the long haul — then we re-measure every month so progress is something you can see, not just feel.

Coaching doesn't stop at the gym door. We work on the four pillars that drive long-term health — movement, sleep, stress and nutrition — and we teach the how and why behind every exercise, so you can train well anywhere.

FAQ

Personal Training: questions

Can I try a session first?

Yes. New clients start with two private sessions for $150. Session one is a 55-minute assessment and workout; session two puts your plan to work. There's no obligation to continue.

Will I have my own trainer?

Yes, and you choose who. If your trainer is sick or on vacation, we'll set you up with a substitute who has your plan.

Do I need a gym membership?

No. You pay for sessions in packs that are valid for 12 months. There is no membership, contract or cancellation fee.

Is personal training tax deductible or covered by insurance?

Sometimes. Training prescribed by a healthcare provider to treat a specific condition may qualify as a medical expense, and some HSA/FSA plans reimburse it with a letter of medical necessity. Ask us for an itemized receipt.
