In short

Barre at NYCPT is a ballet-inspired class that builds strength, flexibility, posture and balance using small, controlled movements at the barre. It's taught by Mateo Dominguez, a former professional dancer and choreographer, and costs $30 per class or $250 for ten.

Barre borrows the best of ballet training — alignment, control and grace — and makes it accessible to everyone. Small, precise movements work large and small muscle groups together for strength and flexibility you won't get from machines.

Led by a former professional dancer, classes emphasize posture, core stability and balance, with plenty of rhythm and fun along the way. No dance experience needed.
